Senior Smallworld Consultant

Epoch Solutions Group seeks a senior consultant to join our team who is proficient in GE Smallworld core spatial technology to continue to build our presence in professional services and geospatial products for the utility industry.

Candidates should have worked in a senior development role for 3-5 years. Suitable candidates will be experience in Smallworld core versions up to 4.2, be familiar with the full software life cycle and will have been involved in numerous Smallworld implementations for the utility industry.

Candidates will have the ability to work in a team and independently. In addition candidates will be able to provide mentoring to junior team members and communicate well with Epoch Solutions Group customers.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
• GE Smallworld Core Spatial Technology versions 3.3 – 4.2
• Experience with the SWAF user interface and development of user interfaces
• Software development skills for requirements analysis, design and support
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and time management

Highly Desirable Skills:

• Development experience using Oracle Spatial
• Oracle PL/SQL
• GE Smallworld Electric Office, PowerOn, Design Manager and related products
• Experience of other object oriented languages such as Java & Microsoft C#
• Knowledge of other GIS platforms such as ESRI
• Object Oriented Design – UML, design tools
